How do I deliver my data?
Please, send us your data per e-mail at info@repropartner-erfurt.de! With bigger data amounts we can make a FTP access available for your inquiry.
Please, contact us under: 0361-7891270!
Is a dispatch or a delivery of the printed products possible?
In the city of Erfurt we can deliver your printed products for a low surcharge. Please, ask for the exact price and provide information of the desired address of delivery.
In the whole federal territory we deliver your printed products by our partner UPS.
What is the minimum picture resolution?
The picture resolution should be at least 300dpi (with the original dimension of picture size). A lower
picture resolution could result in a grainy appearance.
What do I have to consider with fonts?
Please, embed all used fonts in your documents or convert them into curves / paths.
If this is not the case, it can seem that word wraps can move, special characters and vowels can be lost or are substituted. Pay attention also to it, the fact that the blanks are correctly converted. Besides, it is advisable to put on black text in 100% of black, because a mixed black which is based from several printing inks generates a squalid typeface.
How must a brochure or dissertation be put on?
The pages must be published as single pages (1,2,3,4). Brochures should be sent mainly in PDF format to us. The brochures must have the right page format (enlargement / reduction is not possible).
In the file please do not include bleed marks and add 3 mm of bleeding space. Fonts must be correctly integrated. To your own security we recommend add page numbers. With missing page numbers there is no guarantee for a correct page result.
In which colour space should I put on my data?
We recommend to put your printing data in CMYK colour mode. RGB Data as well as all special colours (if 4-colours are ordered) are automatically converted into CMYK colour space. Embedded colour profiles are rejected. Besides, colour shifting may appear.
The maximum colour application should not exceed 300%. An excess of the recommended colour can lead to "departing" or sticking. Complaints regarding this cannot be recognised. Tip: to achieve a full black 100% of black colour and 50% cyan are enough. This is particularly important for full surfaces and largely illustrated typography. Because different types of paper take up colour differently, the colour rendering can differ optically.
How do I provide a PDF?
There are different ways to publish a PDF.
The best and most secure way is from a professional layout programm compiled from a postscript file. Print or export a *.ps file with the PPD AdobePDF (with the Acrobat Distiller) and convert it with the Acrobat Distiller under use of the pre-setting PrePress quality into a PDF.
Many layout programmes like InDesign, QuarkXpress and CorelDraw support a direct PDF export. Important settings are: embed all fonts (with Corel even better: convert all fonts into curves), picture resolution with colour and grey levels 300dpi and bitmap 1200dpi, colour space: Euroscale Coated.
About additional programmes like PDFWriter or FreePDF: this variation is no to be advised, because mostly poor quality PDFs are generated. Nevertheless, the same settings are also valid as in section 2.
